We are just opening a new R&D centre in Krakow, where we build engineering teams to support the most crucial blau direkt products and are looking for new talents who want to move things forward together with our international team.

Our roots are in the beautiful Hanseatic city of Luebeck. The market in which we operate safely is the German-speaking insurance and finance industry. Our team is international – accordingly we maintain offices in the most beautiful cities in Europe.
Straight outta Luebeck!
Even if parts of our team today work in Berlin, Recklinghausen, Muenster, Cologne or in cities in other European countries: Since our foundation, our roots have been in the time-honored Hanseatic city of Luebeck, rightly called the Queen of the Hanseatic League. Today, a good 120 employees work in various departments on a good 3,500 square meters. The office building not only offers the largest continuous photovoltaic system in Luebeck, but also a roof terrace, a bistro, a cinema and a complete film studio.
Vienna calling
Our Austrian sister company ARISECUR Versicherungs-Provider GmbH is based in Klosterneuburg near Vienna and offers almost all services for the local market that blau direkt has up its sleeve for the German market. The team there has always seen itself as part of the large blau direkt family. So it is quite normal for us to hear the famous Viennese dialect at the many cross-location team events.
Tere tulemast Tallinna!
In the Estonian capital Tallinn, blau opened a subsidiary directly in 2020 to meet the increased needs from the data acquisitions. The Estonian team calls itself the “T-Gang” and maintains a lively exchange with the Luebeck headquarters.
It was therefore logical for blau to hold the annual “Network Convention” in Tallinn directly in January 2023. The event is considered the largest foreign congress of the German-speaking insurance and finance industry.

Next Step Krakow: In the Polish city on the Vistula, we will significantly expand our IT department this year. We are just opening a new R&D centre in Krakow, where we build engineering teams to support the most crucial blau direkt products.
